Complex Cases Case 359
Before & After
Case Details
Before I embarked on this case, a complex one among the 'Complex Cases in Toledo', the patient had already undergone three unsuccessful breast augmentation procedures. The malpositioning of her implants and their hardened feel were the main issues that she faced, along with the implants being too close together, too low, and an absence of upper fullness in her breast mound. In her own words, "they didn't look natural".
My approach involved a full capsulectomy to remove the old implants and the precise positioning of new Allergan Natrelle style SRF 345cc implants in a different pocket. I moved the implants further apart and added Strattice for additional support of her breast fold. This tactful technique reduced chances of further capsular contracture, a failure she had encountered previously. Two years since her surgery, the patient is very content with the soft, natural feel of her implants.
As a provider, I believe that complex cases need a different degree of meticulousness and technical prowess. My training at the Indiana University School of Medicine and board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1992 helped shape me into the plastic surgeon I am now. As Craig Colville MD, FACS, I serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center, and my Toledo-based practice, Craig W. Colville, MD, FACS, specializes in breast augmentation, lift, and reduction surgeries among other cosmetic services. My continuous involvement in education and professional development allows me to bring the soft touch of personalization and nature's beauty to the otherwise clinical landscape of plastic surgery. When it comes to 'Complex Cases in Toledo', let my skills light the way to your desired results.
