Implant Revision Case 529
Before & After
Case Details
As a dedicated plastic surgeon, I realize that personal feelings about one's appearance evolve over time. Recently, a 60-year-old woman from Toledo shared her journey with me, expressing her desire to have her 18-year-old breast implants removed. Her sentiments toward her body had changed significantly over the years and she no longer felt a connection with the implants. Respectfully acknowledging her wishes, I implemented a thoughtful approach to her Implant Revision in Toledo, ensuring her comfort and satisfaction throughout.
To gently navigate through this process, I first drained her saline implants, enabling her to envision what her breasts would look like without them. Providing her with the time to adjust and make an informed decision was integral. After contemplation, she resolved to continue with an implant removal and a mastopexy. This decision wasn't taken lightly and the outcome was exactly what she hoped for, reinforcing the notion that one's sentiments of self can be fluid and subjective.
As an experienced provider of Implant Revision in Toledo, I offered the same dedicated and comprehensive care to this patient that I've been offering my patients since becoming board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1992. My commitment to personalized care, coupled with my background in both general and plastic surgery studies from Indiana University School of Medicine, allowed me to truly understand and honor her decision. Now serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center, I bring my specialized knowledge and experience in cosmetic services to both my practice and students alike, encouraging growth and development in the field.
