This 54-year-old patient visited the office to discuss her complex case involving a third implant exchange. She previously underwent her first breast augmentation in 2003 and a subsequent procedure in 2023, both performed by another surgeon. She reported concerns about capsular contracture, especially on the left side, and wanted to replace her implants with smaller ones for a more comfortable result.

During our consultation, she described her goals in detail. Achieving a more natural look and resolving tightness and discomfort from the contracture were her top priorities. After a thorough examination and discussion of her medical history, I recommended a bilateral capsulectomy with removal of her previous implants. We proceeded with a secondary augmentation using Allergan Soft Touch gel implants, 440cc, to address both the contracture and her desire for improved symmetry and size.

The patient's recovery following her procedure was smooth and uneventful. She experienced relief from her previous discomfort, and the new implants provided a softer, more natural contour.
