Complex Cases Case 350
Before & After
Case Details
Navigating through the complexity of the decision to modify physical appearances is not easy. The complexity deepens, especially in cases where initial procedures haven't lived up to expectations, as in navigating Complex Cases in Toledo. One such patient recently approached me with concerns about her breast appearance, following a procedure performed elsewhere. The disconcerting sight of contracted, drooping breasts wasn't what she envisioned for herself at 60. After a comprehensive discussion about her concerns, including the hardening of her implant pockets, we created an action plan to rectify the situation.
The patient’s solution involved an intricate process – one that required precision, experience, and extreme professionalism. The well-thought plan included removing the old implants, performing a full capsulectomy to rectify her contracted implant pockets, and conducting secondary breast augmentation in a fresh pocket under her pectoralis muscle. This was followed by correcting her breast fold and implant malposition through the new implant pocket and the use of Galaflex mesh. Ultimately, her breast skin droop and nipple malposition were corrected with a mastopexy; a total makeover of sorts. To her delight, the final outcome better aligned with her vision for herself, boosting her confidence and providing a better quality of life.
