Complex Case 611
Before & After
Case Details
This patient's breast implants were originally placed in 1998 by another surgeon. Over the years, it became clear those implants had failed, making revision surgery necessary.I performed a bilateral capsulectomy to remove the implant capsules, followed by placement of Mentor 215cc implants and a mastopexy with Galaflex for added support. A mastopexy repositions and reshapes breast tissue while removing excess skin.
The before photos show significant ptosis, with the nipples positioned well below the breast mounds and the tissue carrying considerable downward displacement. In the after photos, the nipples sit higher on the chest wall, the breast contour appears rounder, and both projection and symmetry are more consistent across views.
For those researching complex cases in Toledo, this case illustrates what implant revision combined with a lift can address: existing implant failure, tissue ptosis, and asymmetry managed together in a single surgical plan. Scar lines visible in the after photos are consistent with the mastopexy approach used.
